Gone are the days when the smartphone market was ruled by Apple and Samsung alone. In recent times the competition in the smartphone market is getting more intense day by day with the emergence of new companies. They provide awesome features with a competitive price and are attracting a lot of customers. OPPO has emerged as one of the leading smartphone companies and is expanding its business day by day. OPPO has released its latest smartphone, OPPO F3 Plus in the market. The phone is called a selfie expert as the main emphasis is given on its camera. Its primary camera is 16 megapixels and secondary camera is 8 megapixels. We have come up with OPPO F3 Plus review so that you could know whether it is the right phone for you or not.
DESIGN and BUILD
The OPPO F3 Plus has a premium metal unibody design. In looks, it is quite similar to an iPhone. Well, that’s a trend many companies have been following.
The back side is curved like an iPhone and is made of metal and the edges are chamfered. The side edges have been given the usual 2.5D “Arc” glass curve. Six extremely slim antenna lines run on the two ends of the rear panel. This change is symbolic which hints at the smartphone’s support for six frequency ranges. Each line is only 0.3 mm thick.
There is a single speaker mounted at the bottom which is quite loud but it distorts at high volumes.
Thankfully it still has a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
The glass is scratch proof and provides more protection. The design offers more solidarity without sacrificing the looks.

DISPLAY
The Oppo F3 Plus offers a 6-inch full HD IPS LCD display with a 1080p resolution panel. It has crisp and sharp colours, adequate brightness levels and good viewing angles. Though a 1080p panel might be a bit of a disappointment but it offers a great balance between battery life and usability. OPPO F3 Plus comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection
It offers an ‘eye protect mode’, which basically acts as a blue light filter for the display and avoids putting a strain on the eye at night.
CAMERA
The camera is the most important feature to judge this smartphone as it is being hailed as the “selfie expert”. OPPO F3 Plus is the first smartphone in which OPPO has offered two cameras at the front. One is a 16-megapixel primary camera with an aperture of F2.0 and the other is an 8-megapixel secondary camera with a 120-degree wide-angle lens that allows the users for a 105-degree field of view group selfies.
The rear camera is a 16 megapixel with an aperture of F1.7. It is larger than most of the cameras in other smartphones. It captures sharp and crisp images but might disappoint a bit in low light conditions.
The camera is loaded with several features like Screen flash, Selfie Panorama, Smart Facial Recognition, Palm Shutter and Smart Facial Recognition. If you are confused which lens to choose while taking a selfie, then just leave it to the smartphone. It will automatically detect it for you.
The users can easily switch between the portrait and wide-angle sensors. The captured images are very clear and of high quality. It is definitely better than most of other smartphones in its price range.
Pictures taken in low light are also of surprisingly good quality. They contain a bit of noise though.
What is surprising is that there is no front LED flash despite the phone is made especially for selfie lovers.
While the front camera exceeds our expectations, the rear camera might have missed a trick or two.

SOFTWARE
The OPPO F3 Plus runs ColorOS 3.0 UI which is based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow which could disappoint you considering many devices are already offering the latest Android 7.0, Nougat.
Many aspects of the user interface like opening up the notification bar and navigating through the home screen are fast and smooth, it might take an extra millisecond or two to open the basic applications like contacts and messages.
The smartphones support gestures such as you can start the camera by drawing O and unlock the screen with a double tap. It’s simple and easy to use the core applications.
The notification bar divides into two screens. One screen lists the notifications while the other offers quick toggles for Bluetooth, 4G etc.
There is one irritating factor that whenever you pull down the notification bar, the quick toggles are displayed first and you need to swipe left everytime you wish to see a notification. It is not a major setback but sometimes it just might get on your nerves.
BATTERY
It is one of the most promising parts of OPPO F3 Plus. It is powered by a mammoth 4,000mAh battery which combined with Oppo’s VOOC flash charge technology makes it a trusted choice. The company claims that it offers up to 2 hours of talk time with just 5 minutes of charging.
The OPPO F3 Plus can last the entire day and still have about half of the power left with it. It is a great choice if your work does not allow you to charge your phone on a regular basis.
PRICE
The OPPO F3 Plus is priced at Rs 30,900. The smartphone is available in black and gold variants both a the same price.

OUR VERDICT
Loaded with a lot of features, long battery life and smooth performance make OPPO F3 Plus a reliable smartphone. If you are a selfie lover and camera is the most important feature for you while buying a smartphone then you can give it a try. Its camera is seriously good.
However, when it comes to RAM and processor, there are other better smartphones in the market.
