Jaipur: Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam Fam Sanjay Leela Bhansali a National Award-winning film director was slapped and assaulted by Rajput Karni Sena workers in Jaipur, Rajasthan on the sets of his film Padmavati. 27 Jan 2016 is proved a black Friday for Bollywood. Bollywood actors and filmmakers are demanding to take an action against Rajput Karni Sena protesters who assaulted veteran filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The protesters slapped him and pulled his hair at the Jaigarh Fort and also stormed the film sets and vandalized equipment.
The protesters alleged that the Padmavati film shows much-celebrated Rajput Queen Padmini in poor light. They also want to delete the love scenes between Queen Padmini and Alauddin Khilji, played by actors Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. Padmavati film is a historical drama based on the story of the 1303 siege of Rajasthan’s Chittor fort by Alauddin Khilji. Khilji had wanted to have Queen Padmini, the wife of Rana Rawal Ratan Singh so he decided to attack on the fort. However, Khilji’s arrival before Padmini killed herself along with scores of other women before he could storm the fort.
The Rajput Karni Sena has demanded that Sanjay Leela Bhansali has to delete such scenes in the film if any. “We had already warned the filmmaker Bhansali against presenting wrong facts. When we came to know about the shooting, we gathered there and protested,” said a leader of the Rajput Karni group, Narayan Singh.
The Jaipur Police has been quoted by the Press Trust of India as saying that Sanjay Leela Bhansali has decided to stop filming in the area. “The filmmakers have assured that they will not shoot here and will pack up,” senior police officer Anshuman Bhomia told UK News.
My fellow film folk, if we do not unite now against these recurring incidents of bullying, it's going to get much worse. #IstandbySLB

I'm waiting to see how many people are punished for what they've done to #SanjayLeelaBhansali & his crew. There's enough evidence.
