Jumpin Heights is India’s first extreme adventure sports zone. It gives you the extreme thrill and makes you stand face to face with nature. The Jumpin Heights is famous for adventure sports such as Bungee jumping, giant swing and flying fox.
Built on the tributary of river Ganga it boasts of the highest Bungee jumping platform (83 meters) in India.
People from various parts of the world visit Jumpin Heights to experience the ultimate thrill of adventure sports. Recently, the celebrated the incredible landmark of 50,000 bungee jumping. A huge event for adventure freaks was organised to celebrate this feat in which people from all over the world took part. There were celebrities, regular jumpers and the first time jumpers got together for one hell of an adventure ride.
BUNGEE JUMPING
Bungee jumping is the main attraction of the Jumpin. As already mentioned it is the highest bungee jumping spot in India. Surrounded by gorgeous hilly terrains of Uttarakhand, it is located at Mohanchatti near Rishikesh on the river Hyul which is the tributary of holy river Ganga.
A huge Cantilever platform is built on a cliff right on top of the river from where the people jump. Before you jump you are tied with rubber cords to your ankles along with high-quality safety harness. Then you go down. While you are free falling to the ground you can fell the adrenaline rush like never before. In just a few seconds you can feel the thrill of a lifetime. It’s like falling through eternity. Just when you are about to hit the ground and your heart beat is breaking all the barriers, you get back to reality. Yes, you find that you are still alive and you can feel the goosebumps in your soul.
After completing the Jump, the Jumpers are lowered down to a drop zone in the river with only two feets of water in it. From there you have to take a walk of about 15-20 minutes to the cafeteria. The walk back to the recovery in itself is no less than an adventure. In fact, it is one of the most beautiful walks you will ever have in your life. During this walk, you can capture the serenity in the wilderness of Uttarakhand. You feel so close to nature that you become a part of it. The organisers make sure that your experience is as comfortable as it can get.

GIANT SWING
Giant swing is carried out from the same platform from where you bungee jumps but is slightly different from bungee jumping. You are given a seat harness attached to two ropes instead of attaching a cord to your ankles. So after you jump from the platform, instead of free falling you start swinging like to and fro like a pendulum. It feels as if you are on a giant swing. This sport can be done by two people at a time. You can also do it solo if you want to.

FLYING FOX
This is another a freak adventure sport. It gives you the speed thrills. In flying fox a hard strong cable is fixed from one end of the valley to the other. This wire is more than one kilometre long. A huge apparatus is attached to it. Once you are harnessed to the apparatus it is released from the height of 120 metres running down the wire. You fly towards the other end of the valley with the speed of 160-kilometre per hour. Now that is a seriously insane speed. For all the speed lovers this is the perfect sport to try.
Usually, 3 persons do this activity at a time. But if you prefer to do it alone then you have to pay a little extra for it.
