14–15 August 1947 are two very important and marked days in Indian history and have many impacts in the memory of a common man. 1947 partition ,these days aren’t just important because they have witnessed the partition of India into two provenience India and Pakistan but also witnessed one of the most massive women assault ever. According to a recent calculation done by Idian government states that around some 83,000 of women were tortured and violated during Partition.
Almost every women from all age group social classes have victimized this massive sheer horror of sexual violation. Almost all of them were tortured and raped and even were stripped naked and paraded down streets to intensify their trauma and humiliation but wait the story doesn’t end here many women had their breasts chopped off, others suffered the abuse and torture of their genitals because culprits had to literally wear physical signs of their shame — rapists frequently mutilated and disfigured the girls’ skins with markings and graffiti of their shame and also some of them were sold into prostitution. Apart from this the biggest torcher from which a woman has to go was marrying their rapist and converting into culprits religion and never saw their natal families ever again because an assaulted eve lost her value and place in society and become unwanted even by her own family. These wounds last for more than three generations.
After this brutal violation, every man had wanted a revenge for their peers and deliberately went out searching for women of other religions to rape and kidnap due to which the women’s were told to jump off in well on the arrival of mobs for their own benefits and safety.
The time period from 1858 to 1947 was a time period where Britishers rules over the India this period is called as The British Raj or crown rule in India. On 14–15 August 1947 this provenience splits into sub-proveniences as India and Pakistan. It was considered to be the largest mass migration in human history because according to the estimates given by UNHCR 14 million Hindus, Sikhs and Muslims were displaced during the partition. This partition not just lead to the partition of land but also division of other services/assets including the British Indian Army, the Indian Civil Service, the railways, other administrative services and the central treasury.
