Indian army unleashed hell on terrorists across the border.Indian army, on Wednesday night, carried out surgical strikes in Pakistan occupied Kashmir.The army targetted seven terror launch pads and destroyed them.Around 35-40 terrorists were killed in the surgical strike.The best part of the operation was that all army men returned alive and safe after it was over.This came 10 days after the Uri attack in which our nation had lost 18 brave hearts.

“Significant casualties have been caused to the terrorists and those who are trying to support them,” an official said.

There had been reports about several terrorists were about to enter India and carry terror attacks in the country.The aim of the strikes was to prevent that from happening.The sources said that the terrorists were under surveillance since last week.The foreign ministry and army held a joint press conference and informed the nation about the surgical strikes.Vikas Swarup, the spokesman of External Affairs Ministry was also present during the conference.

The army carried out the strikes on the basis of credible and specific information that many terrorists are trying to infiltrate the nation and carry out terror attacks in major cities.

“Based on receiving specific and credible inputs that some terrorist teams had positioned themselves at launch pads along the Line of Control to carry out infiltration and conduct terrorist strikes inside Jammu and Kashmir and in various metros in other states, the Indian army conducted surgical strikes at several of these launch pads to pre-empt infiltration by terrorists” the officials said.

The DGMO also said that Pak had been informed about the strikes and India do not intend to carry out further such operations.He also added that India is ready to respond to any such attacks if they come our way.He made it loud and clear that Indian army is always there for the nation and it will not allow any terrorists to cause any harm to the nation.

“We can’t allow terrorists to operate across the LoC, there has been a surge in infiltration”, DGMO further said.He revealed that Indian army had inflicted lethal damage on the terrorist pads and caused significant casualties.

India had warned Pakistan numerous times to not allow to shelter any terrorist activities against India on their soil but Pak turned deaf ear to the warnings.This left army no choice but to take the matter into their own hands.”Despite our persistent appeals to Pakistan to not allow territory under its control to be used for terrorist activities, nothing was done,” the DGMO said.

The Surgical Strikes Report

According to the reports, the surgical strikes by Indian army took place during midnight and lasted till morning.The news agencies claimed that the attacks happened between 12:30 a.m and 4:30 a.m.Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), had its own version of the story.They claimed that the firing started at 2:30 a.m and lasted till 8:00 a.m in the morning.The location of the terror pads which the army attacked was between 500 metres to 3 kilometres across the line of control in Pakistan.The operation took place in Bhimber, Kel & Lipa and Hotspring area in Pak.At first, there were reports coming that the army had used helicopters in the operations but later news agencies confirmed that no helicopters were used.The commandos travelled by foot about more than 10 kilometres to complete the surgical strikes.They were equipped with heavy machine guns and other heavy weapons.Army killed 38 terrorists along with 2 pak army men who were trying to help them.The army also carried unmanned flying drones with them to record the operation and to use them as proof, if required in future.

Pakistan, as usual, was in denial mode about the operation.They blamed India for ceasefire violation and said that its two soldiers were killed due to fire from across the border.”The notion of surgical strikes linked to alleged terrorists’ bases is an illusion being deliberately generated by India to create false effects” their military officials said.Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif lashed out and condemned the Indian forces.

Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India had promised the nation to avenge the deaths of 18 martyrs during Uri attack.The Indian army also has said that they will retaliate at the time and place of their choosing.They had delivered their promise to the nation and has sent a strong message to Pakistan.Pakistan had taken India’s silence for granted and this strikes has broken that illusion.The Indian government had informed all the opposition parties in advance about the surgical strikes and taken them inti confidence.This was a rare stance when all the political parties stood together on an issue.Union home minister, Mr. Rajnath Singh personally informed the leaders of opposition parties about the attack.
Indian army briefed Vice-President Hamid Ansari,President Pranab Mukherjee, Former PM Manmohan Singh, J&K Governor and J&K chief minister Mehbooba Mufti about the attacks.

This attack has shown Pakistan that India is well capable of handling any terror situation and if Pak does not stop here then it will face serious consequences in the future.We all praise our government and salute our brave defenders of the border for taking such action.JAI HIND.

After the Indian Army’s surgical strikes, All the schools that are located within 10 kilometers of India-Pakistan borders like Firoze pur,Wagah and POK will remain closed till further orders, Ferozepur District Education Officer said.
