Amid allegations, PM Modi has asked all BJP MPs & MLAs to submit their bank account transactions details from November 8 onwards, the day demonetisation was announced to December 31 to party president Amit Shah at the parliamentary meet. This action has been performed to clear blunt opposition criticism that BJP party members knew in advance about the demonetisation. The Prime ministers have been asked to party president Amit Shah about submission details by 1 January 017.
Reacting to this action, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal took to Twitter, Facebook and many more social websites to ask details of transactions made before one year of the announcement should also be revealed. Kejriwal made a video and claimed that BJP MPs & MLAs, PM Modi’s friends like Adani, Ambani and Paytm were aware of the demonetisation move. He wants to reveal account details of these all.
The prime minister Narendra Modi had announced demonetisation on November 8 2016 under which old Rs 500 and 1,000 currency notes has been banned in India. The Indian government issued new currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 2,000 and Modi Govt has given a chance of 50 days to people till December 30 to exchange their old currency notes for new.
The decision, as per the Narendra Modi, has been taken to stop black money in the form of cash and circulation of counterfeit currency. The government had considered all the pros and ex-cons of the decisions. The main reason behind the decision is to curb the black money. Also, it will shut down the market of fake currency completely. Drugs Racket, Hawala and terror funding networks will also be adversely affected by this decision. However, the BJP government, MPs & MLAs is also facing sharp criticism from opposition parties and public because of the lack of management and planning of the demonetisation policy.
