Sachin: A billion dreams – A perfect title to the movie made after the man who carried the burden of billions of people for an eternity of 23 years on his lone shoulders. The trailer of the most anticipated movie based on the life of the greatest sportsman this nation has produced is out now. Sachin Tendulkar is the most loved sports person in India and billions of fans all over the world follow and worship him like God. They have not only followed but lived his journey in the world of cricket along with him. Now get ready to have a glimpse deep into the cricketer’s life. The documentary covers Sachin’s life inside 23 yards, starting right from his childhood to the icon he is today.

The movie will release on 26 May 2017.

The movie is directed by James Erskine and stars Sachin Tendulkar himself along with his son Arjun Tendulkar. Mayuresh Prem plays the role of Sachin’s elder brother Nitin Tendulkar who had a very influential role in Sachin’s journey as a cricketer. The music is given by oscar winner A.R Rehman.

Sachin: A billion dreams trailer starts by showing the naughty side of a young Sachin who loves to have fun by troubling his neighbours. A little Sachin can be seen deflating the tyre of a car which belongs to a neighbour and celebrating his act of mischief. Then the man himself appears and narrates his story by saying that his journey in the world of cricket began when India won the 1983 cricket world cup.

 
Voice of her wife Anjali can be heard in the background saying that the family had accepted that cricket is the first priority in Sachin’s life. The trailer includes the footages from real life matches played by India.

The trailer also reveals the dark phase of Indian cricket when BCCI was hit by the infamous match-fixing scandal. The best part of the trailer is the fans screaming the name “Sachin Sachin” in unison and it makes you nostalgic about the days when the little master was an active cricketer.

To add the icing on the cake former Indian captain MS Dhoni makes a special appearance in the trailer. He can be seen sharing his memories of the great man. He says ” When Sachin comes into bat, mujhe bata dena”.

Sachin: A billion dreams trailer launch took place at an auditorium in Juhu, Mumbai. Sachin Tendulkar along with director, James Erskine and producer Ravi Bhagchandka of 200NotOut were also present during the event. James Erskine had specially come from London for the launch of the trailer.
