Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro and Galaxy J7 Max – First look

Popular smartphone company Samsung unveiled its two latest devices in the hugely popular J-series- Galaxy J7 Pro and Galaxy J7 Max handset. In addition to the mobile payment facility, Samsung Galaxy J7 Max and Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro will be taken for premium design, features and specification. Based on what they offer, these handsets are capable of giving a tough competition to many of the existing flagship phones in the market.

Samsung’s J-Series handsets have been popular so far. The best part about J series is that there are handsets in every price segment in this series. The handsets like Galaxy J3 Pro, Galaxy J1 (4G) and Galaxy J2 Pro have priced around 10,000 rupees. At the same time, the Galaxy J7 Prime and the Galaxy J5 (2016) are handset handsets priced at Rs 10,000- Rs 20,000. The Galaxy J7 Max and Galaxy J7 Pro are being marketed with “popular mid-segment smartphone market”, which has seen fewer launches in recent times. In the launch event, we got a chance to spend some time with Samsung Galaxy J7 Max and Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro. At first glance, how do we call this phone? Let’s say.

DESIGN

J-series new smartphones come with full metal unibody design and profiles are also slim. Due to the large display, it is certain that it will not be easy to use them with one hand. We realized this while using the phone in the limited time we got. The thickness of Samsung Galaxy J7 Max and Galaxy J7 Pro is 8.1 and 7.8 millimeters respectively.

The Galaxy J7 Max has a smart glow feature. It is present around the rear camera. When the notification comes, the smart glow on the edge of the camera will alert you.

Samsung is promoting a flat back camera in the J7 Pro. We also liked the phone’s new “U” design antenna band. It enhances the beauty of the handset

In the new Dual SIM handset of the J-Series, you will find different slots for the MicroSD card. This is a good feature in this price.

The company has its own skin based on the Android Jude 7 in Galaxy J7 Max and the Galaxy J7 Pro. We have to admit that Samsung has continually improved UX since launching the Samsung Galaxy S6. The number of unwanted apps has decreased. The user interface is quite neat. Like other Samsung phones, you can find Google and Microsoft apps in Galaxy J7 Max and Galaxy J7 Pro. Samsung has made several Nougat features part of its new UX, as the app drawer opens upward from the bottom to the swipe.

SAMSUNG PAY and SAMSUNG PAY MINI

The most important feature of the new smartphone of the J-series is Samsung Pay. In the Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro, you will get the NFC-supported Samsung Pay by the company recently. The South Korean company has also introduced Samsung Pe Mini Feature. This is the light version of Samsung Pay. Galaxy J7 Max will have a Samsung Pay Mini that runs on the Internet, i.e. it will work in online payment. Sumit Walia, director of Samsung India’s Mobile Business, said that the company is planning to bring more mobile payment options in the coming days.

Talking about the Samsung Pe Mini feature, Walia said that it has almost all the features of Samsung Pay except “tap and pay” which is capable of offline payment. It has been launched for handsets such as Samsung Galaxy J7 Max, which does not have the appropriate hardware for Samsung pay payment service.

In the event, the company representative showed the Samsung Mini Mini feature. It was easy to use. After getting the Galaxy J7 Max, we will also be able to use this feature.

On the other hand, Samsung Pay supports NFC and MST. The new user has also been explained about how to use the Samsung Pay and Samsung Pay Mini app via video which is a good thing.

PERFORMANCE AND CAMERA

In the limited time spent with the handset, we found that Galaxy J7 Pro and Galaxy J7 Max run without problems. Switching from one app to another is not a problem.

The camera of Samsung Galaxy J7 Max and Galaxy J7 Pro is also very much appreciated. In the limited time spent with the device, we found that the handset cameras were fast-launched. Sample shot came Crisp. There was a lot of detail in the pictures taken in low light. Both are fully capable of taking pictures with the 13-megapixel front cameras detail of the existing F / 1.9 aperture in the handset.

PRICE

Samsung Galaxy J7 Max is priced at Rs 17,900 and Galaxy J7 Pro will be available for Rs 20,900. These phones will be available on Samsung’s own e-commerce site in addition to the offline store. Sales of Samsung Galaxy J7 Max will start on June 20. At the same time, the Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro has been made available until mid-July. At this price, both the handsets will have direct competition from handsets such as Xiaomi Mi Max Prime, Moto G5 Plus and Honor 8 Lite.

OUR VERDICT

There is no doubt that the features and specifications of Samsung Galaxy J7 Max and J7 Pro are attractive and power packed. The Samsung Pay option has brought something new to this series. Overall the smartphones seem quite capable and worth it.
