Just a few days after four students lost their lives in a car accident in Ludhiana, another major accident has claimed the lives of two students, this time near Jaisalmer. According to the sources, eight students were on the tour from Delhi to Jaisalmer in a Scorpio car when their car suddenly got out of control and crashed. The impact of the accident was so severe that one student died on the spot.
The other seven students suffered serious injuries. They were given first aid immediately after the accident and were referred to the Jawahar hospital in Jaisalmer where they were being treated. However, another student who was injured later succumbed to his injuries. One student is in the coma and is battling for his life. All the students are in critical condition.
According to the reports, the accident took place 20 kilometers away from Jaisalmer at around 11 am. All the students were from a reputed animation college in New Delhi. They were on a study tour. They were traveling from Delhi through Punjab, Dalhousie and were heading towards Kuldhara, a haunted place in Jaisalmer.
As soon as the accident happened, the authorities were informed. The ambulance 107 reached the spot immediately and took the injured to the hospital. The Scorpio in which the students were traveling was damaged completely. There was a situation of chaos in the hospital as people started to gather after the accident. The police also reached the hospital premises and were completing the required formalities and the investigation regarding the accident.
It is the second major accident in just over two weeks which has claimed the life of students. Earlier in the first week of the year, two girls and two boys had lost their lives in Ludhiana. The four students along with their other friend who survived the accident. The five students were traveling in a honda city car which crashed into a tree at Detwal village near Ludhiana.
