Samsung is set to regain its lost ground in the smartphone market with the launch of Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus. The flagship phones were launched two days ago on Flipkart. The Galaxy S8 is incredibly stunning with a lot of features in their upcoming smartphones. While many of you, might have already made up your mind to buy this smartphone ( it is so good that you can’t resist it if you can afford it) there are still many who are waiting for other flagships which are expected to take the smartphone market by storm. Most prominent of them are the likes of most anticipate iPhone 8 and Google Pixel 2. Nokia’s comeback has got many people excited as once it used to be the leader of this market. It will be interesting to see what Nokia has to offer to the customers. Today we will tell you about the upcoming smartphones in 2017 which are expected to be launched in a next few months.

The new upcoming smartphones in 2017 are expected to offer a longer battery life and much faster performance owing to the new Snapdragon 835 chip. It promises 25 percent faster graphics rendering and consuming almost half of the power compared to the Snapdragon 801. This new processor will come with a minimum of 4 GB RAM which could exceed up to 8 GB along with 32 GB internal memory at least. These flagship phones will also feature large Quad-HD screens and incredibly wonderful cameras.

Here is the list of expected upcoming smartphones in 2017.

iPhone 8

Apple would like to make its 10th anniversary a special one with the launch of iPhone 8.

Apple has been the undisputed king of the world of smartphones for the last decade. It has always been a class apart and one step ahead of its rivals. It is one of the most anticipated phones of the year. And the occasion that Apple is celebrating its 10th year anniversary in 2017 makes it even more special. This year everyone is expecting Apple to unleash something special and the company itself would want to make this launch a memorable one. If reports are to be believed Apple is going to launch iPhone 8 in 2017.

Reports suggest that iPhone 8 will have a large bezel free screen and a 5.768-inch OLED display. There will be mute and volume buttons on the left side of the handset while the power button will be on the right side.

If rumours are to be believed the iPhone 8 will have dual rear cameras which will be placed vertically. They LED flash will be placed between the two cameras. There will be a 3D sensor for augmented reality but it might appear later.

Apple is planning to ditch the home button and planning to embed the fingerprint sensor inside the display screen. Apple is facing some troubles with the fingerprint sensor inside the screen and therefore there might be some delay in the launch.

Apple will launch three models of iPhone 8 this year and one of these models will feature premium specifications and will have a glass body.

It is also expected that it will support wireless charging and facial recognition or iris scanning.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8

Samsung plans to continue the note series with Galaxy note 8.

Samsung is the closest rival to Apple and always keeps Apple on its toes. The rivalry between the two companies is well known and they always keep on trying to outdo each other. Samsung’s Galaxy Note 7 was a disaster which terribly hit the company’s reputation. Now Samsung looks to make amends for the last time with another device in the note series – Galaxy Note 8. Samsung intends to continue and redefine the note series which was a huge hit (except Note 7). Samsung looks forward to winning back the impeccable trust it had built in the hearts of customers with Galaxy note 8.

The Galaxy note 8 is expected to feature a large curved 6.4-inch 4K Super AMOLED display. Note 8 will run on the same Snapdragon 835 processor which is used in Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus.

Note 8 could support internal memory up to 256 GB. It will feature a 5.7in Quad-HD or SuperAMOLED screen and the company could also unveil a new S pen along with it. It will also get a new speaker.

It is likely to be released in August 2017.

GOOGLE PIXEL 2

Google pixel 2 promises to be a high performing smartphone.

Rick Osterloh, Senior Vice President of Hardware, Google has already confirmed that Google Pixel 2 will be launched in 2017.

Google is planning to heat up the competition by launching google pixel 2. Reports say that Google is investing as much as $800 million in LG Display in order to manufacture OLED panels for this phone. Google pixel 2 will feature advanced OLED displays and it will be waterproof. It will get a much-advanced camera which will be an expert in low-light photography.

Pixel 2 will be the first ever smartphone which will run on Android O. Apart from Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, it is believed that Google might also launch a super-premium variant. But nothing is confirmed about it.

The launch date is expected to be around September/October of this month. The price of Pixel 2 is expected to be at least 50$ higher than the Pixel one.

There are rumours that it will be available in red colour too.

NOKIA 9

Nokia hopes to be the king of smartphone market with Nokia 9.

Now, this might be the most interesting launch this year. Nokia is back in the market owing to the licensing deal with HMD Global. Once upon a time, Nokia was the undisputed king of phone manufacturing. But thanks to window phones it lost its ground completely.

If you still have trust in Nokia and are looking for premium Nokia phone then this news is for you. Nokia is planning to launch the Nokia 9 flagship in 2017.

Nokia 9 is expected to be a high performing smartphone which will feature Nokia OZO audio system along with Snapdragon 835 octa-core processor and 3D audio technology. The leaks suggest that the phone will feature a 12-megapixel front camera with Carless’s lens and a 22-megapixel rear camera. It will have 6 GB RAM and a 3,800 mAh battery.

The cost of Nokia 9 could be well over Rs 40,000. The release date could be towards the end of the year.

HTC 11

HTC 11 is coming soon.

HTC is planning to blow you away with its latest flagship HTC 11.

HTC is likely to use the 10nm Snapdragon 835 for its next beast. It is the best mobile chip available of Qualcomm. If rumours are to be believed then it will have 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage in its upcoming smartphones. Some rumours even suggest that internal storage could be up to 256 GB.

the main camera will be of 12 megapixels while the front camera will be of 8 megapixels. The screen of HTC 11  is expected to be a 5.5 inches and a 1440×2560 panel. It is quite large than the 5.2-inch screen on the HTC 10.

You can expect a large battery of 3,700mAh.

The launch date could be in may 2017.

LG G6

LG G6 is already launched in US and Korea.

MWC 2017 LG announced that it will unveil its new high-end smartphone LG G6 in the market. LG G6 will have an impressive Quad HD 5.7 inch display. The ratio of the display will be 18:9 which will be taller than the traditional 16:9.

LG will move on from the modular design of G5 which was launched in 2016 and has gone for a glass and metal design. It keeps the dual camera setup of G5 which was excellent. It will have a non-removable battery.

Also, LG G6 will the 1st non- Google smartphone which will come with Google assistant.

This smartphone is already available in Korea and Us but the rest of the world will have to wait a little longer for its arrival.

It will be available in three colours – Astro Black, Ice Platinum and Mystic White.

The smartphone will be IP68 water resistant and will come with 4 GB RAM and 32 GB internal memory and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor. It will support wireless charging but that model will be available in US only.

ONE PLUS 5

One Plus 5 will run the Oxygen OS, a custom UI based on Android 7.0 Nougat.

One plus series was an instant hit when it was launched. Especially the latest smartphone in this series One Plus 3T took the smartphone market by storm and was one of the most successful phones of the year. With phenomenal features, One Plus 3T ruled the market.

Now the company has some more exciting news for the fans. It is rumoured that the company is planning to launch One Plus 5 soon. With One Plus 3T being a super smartphone one can only imagine what One Plus 5 will offer.

One Plus 5 could come with Snapdragon 835 along with a 5.5-inch full-HD display screen upgraded to a Quad-HD model. It will come with a mind-boggling RAM of 8 GB and the camera could be of 23 megapixels.

One Plus 5 will run on OxygenOS which is based on Android 7.0 Nougat.

You can expect One Plus 5 to be launched in second half of the year.
