Yogi Adityanath gets going – UP CM seems a man of action

The newly elected Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath seems to be a man on a mission. He is wasting not time in getting used to the office he has just acquired. It has been just a few days since he swore in as the UP CM, he has already sent a strong message to the public by taking big decisions. From banning pan masala in office premises to ordering shut down of ‘illegal’ slaughter houses, the chief minister is already working on his plan of action to start a new era in Uttar Pradesh. FIRST CABINET MEETING

Uttar Pradesh chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took charge of his first cabinet meeting this evening. Many important issues were discussed during the meeting like fixation of the new power tariff, farmers’ loans, Law and Order and measures to put the state’s fiscal situation on track.

Cabinet minister Srikant Sharma stated that the chief minister has ordered the officials to ensure quick clearance of files and maintain a proper record.

SWACHH BHARAT ABHIYAN INSPIRES UP

Inspired by PM Narendra Modi’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan to clean the country, UP chief minister has banned the use of plastic products, tobacco and pan masala on the premises of government offices and buildings in the state.

UP Deputy Chief Minister, Keshav Prasad Maurya told that CM inspected government offices and directed officials to maintain cleanliness of both the Annexe & state so that change can be seen.

ANTI ROMEO SQUADS




 
The “Anti Romeo Squads” was the much-talked-about promise in the party’s poll manifesto during the election and the chief minister kept his promise. Just two days after taking charge Yogi Adityanath’s anti-Romeo squads were seen all over UP.

From Lucknow to Lalitpur and Gorakhpur to Ghaziabad, squads drawn from the city police were out checking the markets, schools, colleges, malls, coaching centres and other public areas to check the incidents of eve-teasing.

Two youths in Lucknow were arrested when they failed to explain the reason for their presence in front of a girls’ school. The squads checked over 900 spots in the city to reclaim the feeling of security among the general public, especially women.

CRACKDOWN ON ILLEGAL SLAUGHTERHOUSES

The chief minister today directed police officials to prepare a plan of action to shut slaughterhouses in the state. The Police and municipal authorities had already begun to crack down on illegal slaughterhouses running across the state. The raids began on Tuesday and a couple of slaughterhouses were sealed. The licence of meat shops is being checked. The Lucknow Municipal Corporation sealed nine meat shops in the areas of Mahanagar and Aliganj. According to the reports, there are about  600 licensed meat shops in the state along with about 200-250 butcher shops that are running illegally.

BLANKET BAN ON COW SMUGGLING

The Uttar Pradesh CM is known as a priest and devout gau-sevak. He ordered a blanket ban on the smuggling of cows. He also ordered the district police chiefs to adopt a ‘zero tolerance’ policy towards such illegal activities and those who are involved in it.

RAMAYANA MUSEUM

Aditya Nath Yogi had a meeting with Union tourism minister Mahesh Sharma in New Delhi in which he discussed the path for setting up the Ramayana museum in Ayodhya, about 20 km away from the disputed land. Mahesh Sharma had announced the setting up of a Ramayan museum during his visit to Ayodhya last October.  The project was unable to progress due to delay in allotment of land by the Samajwadi Party government. Yogi Aditya Nath promised that the 25 acres land will be allotted in about 10 days. The Centre has allocated a fund of Rs 154 crore for the ambitious project.

ASKED FOR HELP ON TWITTER, REPLIES INSTANTLY

CM Yogi Adityanath ordered a swift action in a molestation case after the victims’ family member tweeted to him for help seeking justice. As the result, an immediate action was taken against the accused.

On Holi, Some drunk youths had barged into the house of the victim in Kanpur’s Kalyanpur started molesting a woman and her daughter. The woman’s husband protested but he was assaulted by the group of men. The husband of the victim filed a case at the Kalyanpur police station. However, the police were not taking any action. Then he approached the DGP and the Chief Minister’s Office through twitter asking for their help in the case.

the chief minister immediately ordered to take a proper action in the case and provide security to the family. Three teams have been formed to nab the accused.

STAY ON UPPSC RESULTS

The newly formed state government has ordered a stay on Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC), Allahabad results after complaints of massive irregularities were received. A complete ban is slapped on its appointments and halts all exams and interviews till further order.
